'I made the switch to making my own dog food 2 years ago after doing some serious research on dog food brands. Tired of my Pug being used as some sort of experiment. Constant Ear infections, growth\'s on her face, throwing up, diarrhea and just being lethargic. I had to use food enticers to get her to eat. It was horrible. I googled every ingredient in dog food including many popular brands as well as the brands my Vet was selling. I was shocked!!!! Pidge has been on Chicken, Fish, Rabbit, Venison, Kangaroo, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein. I am just listening to my VET.....Nothing was agreeing with her. I asked \"why can\'t she have beef\". They said she would be allergic. Well...I decided to try Grass Fed Beef. I started with The Farmer\'s Dog and now make my own. I blend together The Farmer\'s dog beef recipe and use Just Food For Dogs Nutrients. I would use The Farmer\'s Dog Nutrients but they still don\'t sell them. My Vet finally embraced my plan after one of the Vets attended a Just Food For Dogs seminar. I was asked at one point by my vet...\"You\'re not going to be one of those people are you\". We see the vet a lot less now. Not because of her comment but because BEEF is working for us. We only see the Vet for wellness visits and needed vaccines. It was hard at first but now it is like I am just cooking dinner. My Vet has embraced my change for fresh food. All she needed to see was the evidence of a healthy happy thriving dog. I invite you to do the same. Research and start slow. Pidge will be 8 years old April 30th. What a Journey it has been. I regret not trusting my gut sooner.'
