'Dyeing Silkie Chickens with Food Coloring'

'We started with little dots of food coloring to tell the chickens apart, but we moved onto full dye jobs and we\'ve had a great time.  The chickens love their beauty parlor time and they are very tame now from all of the handling.  And they are adorable.  It is just food coloring, so it is very safe and it fades quickly.'
