'The Korean street food: Tteokbokki. I have 7 minutes 5 steps easy breezy recipe here. This dish brings me good memories. At the end of school day, my friends and I would drop by to eat this dish every single day. It was like a reward after a long(10 hours!!) intense school day. Yep! We, Korean student, used to stay school until 10-11pm at night. I think even nowadays. So this is soothing food for me. Spicy, sweet, and yummy! Egg is a plus. Love cabbage there too! Happy cooking! I did not address all the steps but it comes pretty obvious in the video. Here are the details. Ingredients 1 cup of rice cakes, ¼ cabbage, 1 skewer of fishcakes Sauces 2 tablespoon of Korean chili pepper paste 2 tablespoon of sugar 1 teaspoon of Korean chili pepper powder 1 tablespoon of Korean soy sauce (for soups which calls: Guk ganjang) Step 1. Prepare the ingredients Cut cabbage into a bite size of your choice I love Boiled egg in it so I prepared one. Put rice cakes into water and leave them for about 20 minutes *Rice cakes are usually dried or frozen to keep it longer time. If you have just made fresh rice cakes, you may skip this stage. Fishcakes are also can be frozen. Defrost them completely Step 2 prepare Sauce Sauces are simple. 2 tablespoon of Gohujang and 1 teaspoon of Gochugaru. 1 tablespoon of Korean soy sauce (for soups which calls: Guk ganjang), and 2 tablespoon of sugar. Step 3 High heat, stirring fast: 7 minutes starts now. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a nonstick skillet over high heat Add rice cakes and half of sugar that we prepared. Stirring fast now for 1 minutes then add cabbage and keep stirring fast for another 1 minute Put fishcakes in and stir it 1 minute Step 4 This process takes 1 minute. Now turn down the heat to medium Put Gochujang and Gochugaru mixture half in, melt and blend it well with ingredients Put rest of the half in the same way Step 5 Cook, keep string. It will begin to caramelize in 2 minutes. Cook 1 more minute. And it’s done. If you like softer rice cakes you can cook another 2 minutes while you are keep stirring. Enjoy!'
