'Farm Fresh Food and Fresh Opportunities'

'We have harvested the last of the produce from our garden, but the impact of the garden lives on. This summer, our program employed six young people from our community who learned about growing organic produce. They are also able to see the impact their efforts are having on the community. The produce we grew in our garden is being used to feed patients at St Joseph Hospital. It was also sold at local Farmers Markets with the proceeds being applied to support the program next year. Thanks to the hard work of these young people, Pastor Dan at Mount Cavalry Church and our staff, we are also able to provide patients at the Family Care Center with bags of free fresh produce to take home and enjoy.
