'Here are the 4 life hacks that I\'ve learned on how to save money while going to Grand Canyon University. My college friends use them, I use them, and even my mom uses them sometimes. I hope you enjoy this video. Follow Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jaz.fireflyy/ Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1SFPKwY0ZxMs3xouALkGi6 Link to student discounts: https://www.bestcollegesonline.com/blog/100-stores-that-give-a-student-discount/ I wanted to make a video for college students in which they can take advantage of money life hacks that can help them take simple steps to be financially free. Many students have low income and having practical money saving tips can be useful while they pay for their college tuition. #4 Student Discounts : If you\'re a student who likes to budget your money for college or you like to save money like a minimalist, student discounts are your way to go! Many retailers offer student discounts, like Amazon, Subway, Sprint, TopShop. Especially if you like to save money on coffee, student discounts could help you save MONEY on coffee! I recommend if you\'re going back to school use Apple, if you need a laptop for school they offer a discount on their Mac, the last time I checked they were taking off $200, but I would double check with them before buying a laptop. The 2nd student discount I would take advantage, especially if you’re out of state is, studentuniverse.com They offer cheap student flights, hotels, and tours. They are extremely reliable in which they offer 100% secure bookings for students. That way if you’re out of state or you want to travel, I would check them out. #3 Save Money Through a Credit Card: Disclaimer, if you can\'t get a credit card because of your spending habits, PLEASE SKIP THIS HACK. Having credit card in college can help you BUILD CREDIT, get discounts, and get cash back on all your purchases. Having a good credit score means, you will save money with your future purchases because you will have a lower interest rates on car loans, mortgages, especially if you’re starting up a company, banks will loan you money because having a high credit score means you’re more reliable on paying back the money you borrowed. Now depending on the credit card you have, they offer discounts on restaurants and even on gas! You can look through their app or website and they would most likely promote them to you. #2 Stop going in debt, by Trending : once I got to college, I realized that if I kept trying to keep up with the trend I will end up broke and not have enough money for food or even my tuition. Now, There’s nothing wrong with being into fashion or even liking to keep up with the trend, the problem is that when you’re in college we don’t have the financial stability to spend money on items we don’t use daily or even a year from now. Not to mention, trends come and go and it can get exhausting because in college you have a lot on your plate. With that being said, Investing in clothing that you can use daily that will make you look presentable for the next 4 years, is way more important than buying a trending t shirt that you wouldn’t want to wear 2 years from now. I learned to have the basics: like t shirts with colors like grey, blue, black, and white, because they match with different types of jeans and shoes. Look, I get it, you want to look attractive and look like you have money. But when you’re in college what’s important is to be able to pay for your needs, not your wants. #1 Invest in Transportation: Now I’m not talking about buying a car, a truck, or even a motorcycle. I’m talking about a bike, a skateboard, a long-board, or even a scooter. Let me explain why this hack will save you money. On campus students could invest in a bike and spend less money eating out. While off campus students could invest in a scooter and spend less gas while commuting from the garage to their classroom. With that being said, the 4 life hacks that you can start using today to Save Money in College is by start using Student Discount, Use you Credit Card for Cash Back Rewards, and Stop Spending Money on Trends, and Invest in Your future by buying a scooter.
