'Explore historic Al-Muizz street, visit an Egyptian bread factory, experience the call-to-prayer, and sample Egyptian street food with us! We kick off our Egypt series with a tour of Old Islamic Cairo — the oldest section of Cairo, Egypt. During filming, we ran into Muhammad, an energetic Cairo local. He became our guide for the day and took us on a whirlwind food and culture tour of this historic area. We start off the day on Al-Muizz Street, one of Cairo’s oldest streets. We then climb the minaret at Madrasa Mosque, where we got to witness a moving call-to-prayer with 360-views of the city. After, we explore a traditional produce market, sample falafel and fresh juice at local street stalls, visit an Egyptian bread-making factory, and try other local cuisines like lamb stew and kebabs.
