Screw the scale. In the first pic, Wells looks pretty great just eight weeks after giving birth at 145 pounds. In the second, she hits her goal weight of 122 pounds. But luckily she didn\'t get stuck on the number. In the final snap, which shows off Wells\' sick muscle definition, she\'s a full 18 pounds heavier with a final weigh-in of 140 pounds.\"THANK GOODNESS I finally learned to start measuring my progress by things that matter—strength, ability, endurance, health and HAPPINESS,\" says Wells in her post.\"I have never been more comfortable in my own skin than I am now.And if I didn\'t say #screwthescale long ago, I would have given up on my journey.\"Even though she went up two pants sizes from her original goal weight and ended up only five pounds slimmer than when she started, her body composition is much leaner than when she started. We tend to be super focused on losing weight, but sometimes a fitter body actually means gaining a few pounds (here\'s 7 More Muscle Myths, Busted!).Muscle weighs more than fat, after all. So if your goals are to build strength and tone up, don\'t be surprised if the number on the scale moves up a few notches.(Psst.having strong muscles doesn\'t necessarily mean you have to bulk up.)Take a cue from Wells and screw the scale and love your shape instead.'
