Whomever visiting Madurai would taste Idiyappam as a light food at night after having feast in the afternoons…   Idiyappam is a savory dish made with rice flour and consumed with Coconut, sugar and Coconut milk to elevate its taste…Some people also consume this string hoppers with gravies (both veg and non veg) to elevate its taste more and to avoid its sweetness…   Burma Idiyappam in Madurai is very much famous and the entire crowd visit from different miles to taste the Idiyappam over there… But this SRI ANNAI MEENATCHI IDIYAPPAM in Madurai is an emerging shop that had come out recently and had started getting customer support gradually…  Every day the Idiyappam making person prepares more than 500+ Idiyappams and to make a bonus in their business they had also started Puttu and Kolukatai… These are also quite similar to Idiyappams but they hold a unique taste… Kolukatai and Puttu in this shop are made with Rice and Ragi flour too…  Even Idiyappams are made with Ragi and this idiyappams with their coconut milk is extremely good… I loved every bite of that Idiyappam and also to end the meal they offered us Vegetarian gravy which was quite satisfying for the taste buds to end the sweetness….
