'Hyderabadi Khatti Dal from Maimoona Yasmeen\'s Recipes  YOU CAN ALSO REACH US ON : Youtube Subscribe -https://www.youtube.com/c/hyderabadwala?sub_confirmation=1 Website - http://www.hyderabadwala.com Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/hyderabadwale?ref=hl Google Plus - https://plus.google.com/+Hyderabadwala Twitter - https://twitter.com/Hyderabadwalaa Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/hyderabadwalarecipes/  Ingredients:  Tuvar dal/toor dal  (pigeon pea lentils): 200 grams  Tamatar (tomatoes): 3 medium sized Adrak lehsan ka paste (ginger garlic paste): 1 tablespoon Lal mirch powder (red chilli powder): 3 teapsoons Haldi powder (turmeric powder): 1/2 teaspoon Bareek namak (salt): 1 teaspoon Kariyapath(curry leaves): 2 tablespoons Kata hua hara dhaniya (chopped coriander): 2 tablespoons Sabith hari mirchein (whole green chillies): 2  For Tempering: Tadka/baghaar  Tel (oil): 2 tablespoon Sabith zeera (cumin seeds): 1 teaspoon Sukhe lal mirch (whole dried red chillies): 4 Lehsan ki pothi (garlic cloves): 7 Kariyapath (curry leaves): 1 tablespoon   Procedure:   1. Pressure cooker mein dhuli hui tuvar dal, kate hue tamatar,  adrak lehsan ka paste, lal mirch powder, haldi powder aur teen cup paani (3 cups water) dalkar achhi tarah se mila lijiye aur dhakkan dhaanp dijiye.  2. Teen se chaar seeti (3 to 4 whistles) aane tak ya dal galne tak pakaiyye.  3. Gali hui daal ko do cup paani (2 cups water) dalkar hand blender ya masher se ghont lijiye.  4. Paani dalne se blend karne mein asaani hogi warna agar aap masher istemaal karna chahte hain tab paani ke bina hi mash kijiye aur baad mein chaar cup pani (4 cups water) daliye.  5. Ghonti hui daal (blended lentils) mein do cup paani (2 cups water) daliye.  6. Ek cup (1 cup) imli ka gadha khatta daliyen (Iske liye mutthi bhar pakki imli ko ek cup paani mein panrah minute ke liye bheegne ke liye rakhiye).  7. Daal mein bareek namak, kariyapath, kata hua hara dhaniya aur hari mirchein dalkar achhi tarah se mila lijiye aur  pandrah se bees minute (15 to 20 min) tak dheemi aanch par pakaiyye ke imli ki kachhi boo door ho jaaye.   For tempering: Tadka/baghaar:  1. Frying pn mein tel daliye.  2. Jab tel garam ho jaaye, is mein sabith zeera daliye.  3. Sabith sukhe lal mirch aur lehsan ki chheeli hui pothi (peeled garlic cloves) daliye.  4. Inhe talne ke baad aanch band kar dijiye aur kariyapath daliye.  5. Paki hui dal dalkar dal ko bhaghar lijiye.  Khatti Dal tayyar hai. Saade chawal aur koi bhi sukhe salan (plain rice and any dry curry ) ke saath serve kijiye.'
