I knew that could beat this challenge and I even if it was the only other food challenge win I received during my trip, I would be happy with that. Giligin’s 20 Corn Dog Challenge Description – 20 golden fried county fair corn dogs – Time Limit: 1 hour Prizes – Free Meal ($20) – $50 Gift Card * * Food Challenge Strategy (Revised) * * As far as my strategy went for this rematch, not much changed. I essentially used more lemonade and diet coke to help fight off flavor fatigue and later on during the challenge I would go between eating the breading and the meat because the taste of them separated was easier to deal with then together. * * Food Challenge Review * * Food Challenge Structure (3.5/ 5) Corn dog eating challenges are a rare challenge to find, and also given the 60 minute time limit, the free meal and $50 gift card makes it a worthy challenge. Although it is roughly about 3.5 lbs, this food challenge is tougher than it seems! Food Challenge Taste (2/5) These corn dogs were decent (County Fair brand I believe) but I also didn’t expect these to be the best corn dogs I’ve ever had. With that being said, like the other food eating challenges offered at Gilligins, they’re typically used with generic brands, which even though it might not make them the best tasting food challenges, it certainly fits the quirky, fun, and unique atmosphere at the bar.
