'Breaking purple food coloring into the red and blue components when you dye fiber is a lot of fun.  I have demonstrated breaking Wilton\'s food colorings while kettle dyeing and handpainting fiber.  Today we are going to dip presoaked yarn into a simmering dye bath of Wilton\'s Violet food coloring and see what kind of color gradient we end up with.
